Jermaine Dupri is a legendary producer, songwriter and music executive whose influence has shaped the sound of hip-hop and R&B for over three decades. Rising to fame in the early '90s, he founded So So Def Recordings, where he launched Kris Kross, Da Brat, Bow Wow and Jagged Edge. Dupri's production style helped define the Atlanta music scene and the rise of Southern hip-hop as a dominant cultural force. He has worked with Mariah Carey, Usher, Janet Jackson and Jay-Z.
